7th September 2015
Monday 7th September saw Lodge 13 at Freemasons Hall host the most special of Anglo American Lodge's four regular annual meetings, the Installation of the New Worshipful Master.
We must start this news item by extending a very special thanks to W Bro Richard B, the outgoing Worshipful Master. W Bro Richard has strong family connections to Anglo American Lodge, connections unbeknownst to him until fairly recently, and he was incredibly proud to sit in the Chair. We were proud to have him there and thank him very sincerely for all his work during the last twelve months. We have no doubt that he will continue to be a great asset to our Lodge as IPM and going forward in the years to come.
Our new WM is W Bro Karim E, taking his first seat in a Masonic Chair. Sadly Bro Secretary, W Bro Karim's personal mentor through his rise in the Lodge, was unable to be present at the Installation, but has said he was "incredibly proud" of him.
Speaking of the ceremony, W. Bro Karim told the Webmaster that it was "a very special and memorable moment" and that he intends to give his all to the Lodge in the coming year. He has already introduced a number of initiates in the last few years and remains deeply committed to AAL, aiming to help his fellow Brethren increase the number of members and ensure our continued success following the "re-birth" of the Lodge organised by his own mentor almost a decade ago. W Bro Karim intends to hold White Table events and re-establish ties with other Lodges to help him achieve his aims. His first task looks to be an initiation of epic and certainly unusual proportions... we wish him luck with this!
We also, of course, wish the new WM and his Officers the very best in all their endeavours in the coming year.

MESSAGE FROM THE WEBMASTER:
I have had lots of nice messages thanking me for building this website.
However, I would like to formally thank Bro Secretary, without whom this website would truly not have been possible. It is testament to the vast amount of research he has done over the years into the history of our Lodge and of Freemasonry in general. I look forward to expanding this website greatly over the coming months using his expert knowledge.
Yours Sincerely and Fraternally,
Bro George
